Mark Wahlberg is an Academy Award-nominated American actor and television producer. He was known as Marky Mark in his earlier days and became famous in his 1991 debut as a rap musician with the band Marky Mark and the Funky Bunch.

Wahlberg is from a family one of 9 children and is of Swedish and Irish heritage. He first came to fame as the younger brother of Donnie Wahlberg of the New Kids on the Block. After his brother's bubblegum pop group ended, Mark began recording as Marky Mark & the Funky Bunch, earning hits with "Good Vibrations" and "Wild Side" from Music for the People. He was also seen prominently in a series of underwear ads from Calvin Klein.

Wahlberg then began an acting career, earning positive reviews. Among his filmography include Tim Burton's remake of Planet of the Apes (2001), I Heart Huckabees (2004), Boogie Nights (1997), The Departed (2006) and Max Payne (2008).

Oddly enough, Boogie Nights is her favourite. (On his mother's favourite film).

Mark has two children with Rhea Durham: Ella Rae born September 2, 2003 and Michael born March 22, 2006.
